Pasado, Presente y Futuro

Alcide Figueroa, mucama lesbiana que ahorra parte de su salario para hacerse un cambio de sexo, vive experiencias alucinantes en tres tiempos hist�ricos diferentes. Coronada como "el que sabe lo que hay en el fondo del mar" renace arropado por las deidades tainas y protegido por el pante�n afroantillano como Giorgio. Tiene una misi�n que cumplir en el pasado y vali�ndose de sus experiencias y conocimientos del presente se crea una vida para poder manipular e intervenir cuando se requiera. Argenis, un artista mediocre, en un estado de semiinconsciencia visualiza sin saberlo la vida anterior de Giorgio/Alcide como bucanero en la �poca colonial. El objetivo de la misi�n est� a punto de cumplirse en ese tiempo m�tico primordial, el enviado al pasado debe hacer lo posible para que los ecosistemas sigan en su eterna evoluci�n natural independiente de los seres humanos.
Una novela de un realismo m�gico desconcertante con una narrativa directa y cruda en la que la autora hace una mezcla original de arte contempor�neo, m�sica, una disertaci�n de Goya y sus grabados, historia de los bucaneros del siglo XVII en el Caribe, deidades tainas y religiones afroantillanas, preocupaci�n por el medio ambiente, la contaminaci�n de los mares y un poco de ciencia ficci�n a�adida creando una trama simple pero complicada, enredada, original y entretenida a la vez.
